Course overview

Master finding your way underwater with the SSI Navigation specialty at Kovalam, practising compass and natural navigation on the warm Kovalam reef in the Arabian Sea. You learn to follow headings, use natural references and estimate distance, finishing able to guide a dive accurately. You earn the SSI Navigation specialty certification.

What you’ll learn

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10 (junior) or 15
• SSI Open Water Diver or higher
• Comfort with basic open-water skills
• Diver medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)
