Course overview

Certified divers can join guided SSI fun dives in Papua New Guinea to explore Kimbe Bay's coral seamounts, reef walls and WWII wrecks. From turtle-rich reefs around 18 m to walls and wrecks near 30 m, guides tailor each dive to your certification and the conditions of the day. It is a relaxed way to log world-class dives in a bay holding over half the planet's coral species.

The SSI Fun Dives pathway

SSI fun dives are guided recreational dives for certified divers with no course component. Your SSI certification level and recent experience guide which Kimbe Bay sites and depths your guide selects.

Fun dives explore Kimbe Bay's range, from deep-rising coral seamounts and reef walls to turtle reefs near 18 m and WWII wrecks toward 30 m, in warm 27-30°C water that is calmest and clearest in the dry season from May to October.
