Course overview

Extend your dive time across the Similan Islands with the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty at Khao Lak. This flexible, mostly online course teaches you to analyse and dive enriched-air mixes, maximising no-decompression limits on the multi-dive days and liveaboards that suit deeper pinnacles like Koh Bon and Koh Tachai.

What you’ll learn

• Calculate maximum operating depth and oxygen exposure
• Plan longer no-decompression multi-dive days

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior) / 15 for the specialty
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent
• No dives strictly required (knowledge-based course)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Nitrox theory & analysis

   Work through the online enriched-air modules, practise gas analysis and computer set-up, and certify, with optional dives to apply the skills on national-park sites.
