Course overview

Extend your dives with the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty on Bangaram Island, learning to dive oxygen-enriched air on the coral reefs of remote Lakshadweep. Longer no-decompression limits mean more time exploring the rich atoll reefs and their manta rays, sharks and turtles. The course earns you the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification.

What you’ll learn

• Understand the advantages and limits of enriched air
• Analyse and label enriched-air cylinders
• Calculate maximum operating depth from oxygen content
• Plan Nitrox dives with a compatible computer or tables
• Track oxygen exposure across repetitive dives
• Recognise enriched-air equipment requirements

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) or 15
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician
