Course overview

Learn to respond calmly in an emergency with the SSI React Right course in Hikkaduwa, a dry, non-diving programme open to everyone. In a single day you build CPR, first aid, AED and oxygen-provider skills through practical, scenario-based training, gaining the emergency-care foundation required for SSI rescue and professional ratings. It is a natural first step before rescue and leadership training on Sri Lanka's south coast.

What you’ll learn

• Perform CPR and rescue breathing on an adult
• Assess and manage an emergency scene safely
• Control bleeding and treat for shock
• Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• Administer emergency oxygen
• Deliver basic first aid for common injuries

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• No minimum age for participation
• Open to non-divers and divers
• No swimming or in-water component
