Course overview

Begin your dive-leader career with the SSI Dive Guide and Divemaster pathway in Cyprus, earning the credentials to guide certified divers and support instructors. You build experience on real Mediterranean sites around Ayia Napa and Protaras, guiding shore dives at Green Bay and gaining time on the legendary Zenobia wreck.

What you’ll learn

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 18
• SSI Advanced Adventurer or equivalent experience rating
• SSI Diver Stress & Rescue (or equivalent rescue certification)
• Current CPR and first-aid / SSI React Right provider rating
• Logged dives meeting SSI Divemaster requirements (commonly 40+ to begin)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Orientation and theory

   Programme overview and SSI dive-leadership study on the digital platform.
2. Day2
   Water skills and stamina

   Swim, stamina and rescue-scenario assessments.
3. Day3
   Skills demonstration

   Refine core skills to demonstration quality in sheltered bays.
4. Day4
   Site mapping and planning

   Survey and plan a local site such as Green Bay or Cape Greco.
5. Day5
   Guiding practice

   Guide certified divers and assist instructors on real dives.
6. Day6
   Assessment and certification

   Final evaluation and Divemaster certification through the SSI system.
