Course overview

SSI Perfect Buoyancy hones your weighting, trim and breathing control so you move through the water effortlessly. On Fujairah's gently sloping east-coast reefs like Dibba Rock you learn to hover and glide without touching the coral, making your dives longer, calmer and easier on the marine environment.

What you’ll learn

• Set correct weighting and balance for streamlined trim
• Achieve and hold neutral buoyancy in mid-water
• Hover motionless in multiple body positions
• Use breathing to control fine ascents and descents
• Move close to reefs without contact and save air

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• SSI Open Water Diver (or junior equivalent) or another recognised entry rating
• Comfort with basic scuba skills

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Academics & two dives

   Cover the SSI digital theory, set your weighting, then complete two dives at Dibba Rock perfecting hovering and trim.
