Course overview

The SSI Scuba Diver (Basic Diver) course on Tioman is a shorter entry-level certification that gets you diving under professional supervision in the calm, warm water of this UNESCO marine-park island. You learn the core skills and dive shallow reefs to a maximum of 12 metres, with the option to upgrade to full Open Water later.

Prerequisites

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and confined water

   Core theory and confined-water skills in a calm Tioman bay, building comfort and basic safety skills.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Supervised open-water dives to a maximum of 12 metres on a shallow Tioman reef, then certify.
