The SSI Basic Diver (Scuba Diver) program on Neil Island gives you a recognised entry-level certification to dive to 12 metres under professional supervision - a great fit if your Andaman trip is short. Training happens on Neil's calm shallow reefs around Nemo Reef and Coral Safari.
SSI Scuba Diver is delivered free through the digital app with performance-based repeatable sessions, certifies to 12 m under supervision, and can later be upgraded to full Open Water with an SSI digital card.
Basic Diver training uses Neil's sheltered, sandy-bottomed reefs such as Nemo Reef (5-12 m) and Coral Safari, where shallow coral and clownfish make a friendly classroom. The calm November-May conditions and 27-30C water suit cautious first-time divers.
