Course overview

Build on your certification with the SSI Advanced Adventurer in North Malé Atoll, where the atoll's big-fish channels and drift sites are a perfect classroom for advancing your skills. Across five adventure dives you log a deep dive and an underwater-navigation dive plus three electives, finishing qualified to dive to 30 metres and ready for drift and channel diving with reef sharks and rays.

• Manage buoyancy and trim in mild to moderate current
• Apply skills from elective specialties such as drift, fish ID or night diving
• Monitor gas, depth and no-stop time on deeper profiles

Prerequisites

• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent entry-level certification from a recognised agency
• Minimum age 12 (12-14 certify as Junior, with depth limits)
• Completion of a diver medical questionnaire; physician sign-off if required

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Pre-dive theory

   Complete the knowledge development and dive-planning material before the in-water sessions, online or at the dive base.
2. Day2
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete the required deep dive to around 30 metres and an underwater-navigation dive on a channel or reef site.
3. Day3
   Elective adventure dives

   Log three electives such as drift, fish identification or peak performance buoyancy among the atoll's reefs, then certify.
