Course overview

Explore the Andamans' sunken history with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty in Port Blair, a region known for its wreck-diving heritage. Across two days you learn safe wreck-diving techniques, from surveying and mapping to penetration planning, on suitable wreck and structure sites in the Andaman Sea. The certification lets you approach wrecks methodically and safely.

What you’ll learn

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15 (15 for Junior; 18 for some penetration activities)
• PADI Adventure Diver or higher (Advanced Open Water recommended)
• Comfortable with buoyancy control
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Wreck theory & first dives

   Cover wreck-diving planning and hazards, then make your first survey dives on an Andaman wreck or structure site.
2. Day2
   Mapping & line work

   Complete mapping and reel-handling exercises across the remaining wreck dives and certify.
