Course overview

Explore Oman's sunken history with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty in Muscat, where the reefs around Fahal Island and Bandar Khayran hold shipwrecks that have become thriving artificial reefs. Over four dives you learn safe wreck-diving technique, surveying and penetration-line skills among structures encrusted with coral and patrolled by reef fish and the occasional shark. You certify as a PADI Wreck Diver.

The PADI Wreck Diver pathway

The PADI Wreck Diver specialty teaches recreational wreck exploration and limited penetration; it counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating and can credit an Adventure Dive toward Advanced Open Water.

Where you'll dive in Muscat

Wreck training takes place on the wreck-strewn reefs around Fahal Island and Bandar Khayran, where structures sit within recreational depths and 24-30C water and good visibility in the September-to-April season aid orientation.
