Course overview

Learn to explore sunken structures safely with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty in Moalboal, Cebu, where a small airplane wreck off Panagsama Beach makes an accessible local training site. Over four dives you cover survey, mapping, penetration-line use and safe-exit techniques on a real wreck in warm, easy-diving Visayan water. You finish certified as a PADI Wreck Diver, ready to enjoy wrecks across the Philippines responsibly.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute safe wreck dives, including hazard assessment
• Survey and map a wreck and recognise its history and structure
• Use guidelines and reels for navigation around a wreck
• Manage buoyancy and trim to avoid silt-outs and damage

• Handle entanglement and emergency procedures near overhead environments

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver
• Deep Diver specialty recommended for deeper wrecks
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Survey & navigation

   Knowledge review, then two dives on the airplane wreck off Panagsama Beach focusing on survey, mapping and external navigation.
2. Day2
   Lines & limited penetration

   Two further dives practising reel and guideline use, buoyancy control and safe limited penetration techniques.
