Course overview

Learn to explore sunken structures responsibly with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty on Gili Trawangan, where local wreck and artificial-reef sites add structure to the island's reef diving. Across four dives you master wreck survey, mapping and safe penetration planning in warm 27-29°C water.

What you’ll learn

• Survey and map a wreck safely
• Plan wreck dives, including potential penetration limits
• Use guidelines and reels for orientation
• Manage hazards such as sharp edges and entanglement
• Apply specialised wreck equipment and lighting

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver (or equivalent); Advanced Open Water recommended
• Deep Diver specialty recommended for deeper wrecks
• Diver medical clearance where required

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & first wreck dives

   Wreck-diving theory and planning, then survey and mapping dives on a Gili wreck or artificial-reef site.
2. Day2
   Navigation, penetration & certification

   Guideline and orientation dives with limited penetration where appropriate, then certification.
