Course overview

The PADI Wreck Diver specialty teaches you to explore sunken wrecks safely, and the waters off Fujairah and neighbouring Dibba and Musandam offer artificial reefs and wreck sites to put your training to use. Across four dives you learn wreck mapping, safe penetration lines and hazard awareness, finishing certified to dive wrecks responsibly.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute wreck dives using safe techniques
• Survey and map a wreck site
• Use penetration lines and reels for limited overhead diving
• Identify and avoid wreck-diving hazards
• Carry and manage a primary and backup light

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water certification
• Deep Diver training recommended for deeper wrecks
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & wreck dives 1-2

   Cover wreck-diving theory, then complete the first two dives learning survey and mapping techniques on a local wreck or artificial reef.
2. Day2
   Wreck dives 3-4

   Practise line-laying and hazard management on the final dives toward the Dibba and Musandam wreck sites, then certify.
