Course overview

Explore the structure and history of sunken ships with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty in Cyprus, the perfect place to learn given the world-class Zenobia wreck on the doorstep. You complete four dives mastering wreck survey, mapping and safe penetration line techniques on sites such as the Zenobia and the smaller Nemesis III.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct safe wreck dives and surveys
• Map a wreck and assess hazards and entry points
• Use reels and lines for safe limited penetration
• Manage buoyancy and silt-out conditions inside structure
• Respect wreck conservation and applicable laws

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15 (or 12 for Junior, with depth limits)
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• Comfort diving to wreck depths
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Survey and mapping

   Knowledge review followed by two dives focused on external survey and mapping of the Zenobia wreck.
2. Day2
   Penetration techniques

   Two further dives practising reel use and safe limited penetration, then certify.
