There is no better place to earn the PADI Wreck Diver specialty than Tulamben, home to the USAT Liberty — a WWII cargo ship resting 3-30m just metres offshore and ranked among the world's most accessible wreck dives. Over the course's dives you learn to survey the wreck, map its layout, navigate the exterior safely and use a penetration line. The Liberty's coral-covered hull and resident fish make every training dive a highlight.
PADI Wreck Diver uses eLearning and up to four dives, teaches responsible penetration technique, and counts toward Master Scuba Diver with the PADI specialty card.
The entire specialty is built around the USAT Liberty at Tulamben, a 120m wreck lying 3-30m deep just off the black-sand beach, its hull coated in coral and home to schooling jackfish, bumphead parrotfish and resident reef life.
