Course overview

Capture Moalboal's reefs on camera with the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer specialty in Cebu. With turtles, the swirling sardine school and colourful reef life on the Panagsama house reef, you learn camera handling, composition and lighting to bring home shareable underwater images. You finish certified as a PADI Digital Underwater Photographer.

What you’ll learn

• Set up and operate an underwater camera system
• Apply the PADI SEA (Shoot, Examine, Adjust) method
• Compose shots and get close to subjects
• Manage natural light, white balance and strobes
• Maintain buoyancy while shooting without touching the reef
• Capture marine life such as turtles, sardines and nudibranchs

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10 (Junior) / open to certified divers
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Comfortable buoyancy strongly recommended
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Camera & composition

   Knowledge review and a first dive on the Panagsama house reef practising camera handling and the SEA method on reef subjects.
2. Day2
   Lighting & marine life

   A second photography dive focusing on lighting, white balance and capturing turtles and the sardine school.
