The PADI Underwater Photography pathway

The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating. It focuses on practical camera skills and composition rather than a fixed number of theory exams, and good buoyancy makes a real difference to your results.

Where you'll dive in Koh Lanta

Koh Lanta's photogenic mix, soft-coral walls and turtles at Koh Bida, caverns and whale-shark season at Koh Haa, and manta rays on the deep pinnacles, gives endless subjects. Shoot in the November-to-April season for the clearest 27-30°C water and best light penetration.
