Course overview

Develop a focused diving skill with a PADI Specialty course at Kovalam on the Kerala coast, choosing from disciplines such as buoyancy, navigation, deep or enriched air to suit your goals. Training dives take place over the warm Kovalam reef in the Arabian Sea, building targeted expertise under instructor guidance. Each specialty counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.

Prerequisites

• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or higher (some specialties require Advanced)
• Minimum age varies by specialty (often 10, 12 or 15)
• Relevant prior experience for advanced specialties (e.g. deep)
• Diver medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and first dive

   Cover the specialty knowledge and make the first training dive on the Kovalam reef.
2. Day2
   Further dives and certification

   Complete the remaining specialty dives in the Arabian Sea and certify as a PADI Specialty Diver.
