Get certified faster with the PADI Scuba Diver course in Tarkarli-Malvan, a shorter alternative to the full Open Water Diver. You learn the core skills and complete two open-water dives in the calm, sheltered bay beside Sindhudurg Fort, qualifying you to dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional.
PADI Scuba Diver is a sub-certification of Open Water Diver: it covers the first three of five knowledge sections and the first two open-water dives, certifying you to 12 metres under professional supervision. You can upgrade to full Open Water Diver at any time.
Training uses the sheltered, shallow bay off Tarkarli and Malvan, beside the historic Sindhudurg Fort, where calm, shallow, clear warm 26-29C water in the post-monsoon October-to-May season, when the Konkan coast is calm and clear gives new divers a forgiving introduction; the limited depth suits the sheltered bay perfectly.
