PADI Scuba Diver is an officially recognised certification covering the first half of Open Water; you can dive to 12 metres with a PADI professional and upgrade to full Open Water Diver at any time by completing the remaining requirements.

Where you'll dive in Raja Ampat

Training dives use the sheltered shallow reefs around Mansuar Island, where calm, warm 27-30°C water provides an ideal first open-water environment well away from the region's strong currents.
