Course overview

The PADI Scuba Diver course on Mauritius's sheltered west coast earns you a recognised certification in less time. A subset of the Open Water Diver programme, it qualifies you to dive to 12 metres with a professional, which suits a tight schedule. Training from Flic-en-Flac, you build skills in the calm lagoon and dive shallow reefs alive with clownfish, parrotfish and turtles.

Prerequisites

• No experience required
• Minimum age 10 (Junior Scuba Diver) or 15
• Basic swimming ability and water comfort
• Able to complete a medical questionnaire (clearance if any condition applies)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and confined water

   Complete the first knowledge sections and core confined-water skills in the Flic-en-Flac lagoon.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Two open-water training dives to 12 metres on a shallow west-coast reef, then certification.
