Course overview

Earn a recognised entry-level certification with the PADI Scuba Diver course in Djibouti, a shorter version of Open Water that lets you dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional. Training in the calm reef shallows of the Gulf of Tadjoura, it is ideal if you are short on time but want a real qualification, and you can upgrade to full Open Water Diver later.

PADI Scuba Diver is a recognised sub-certification of Open Water Diver, qualifying you to dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional. You can upgrade to full Open Water Diver by completing the remaining knowledge sections and training dives.

Where you'll dive in Djibouti

Training dives use the sheltered, shallow reef sites of the Gulf of Tadjoura, where calm conditions and warm 24-30°C water through the October-to-February peak make an easy environment to build basic skills.
