Course overview

The PADI Scuba Diver certification is a subset of the Open Water course, ideal if you have limited time in Coron but want a real qualification. Over two days in warm 27-29C water you cover the first sections of theory and confined water plus open-water dives to a maximum of 12 metres on sheltered sites such as the Lusong Gunboat. You finish certified to dive under the supervision of a dive professional.

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No prior certification required
• Able to float or tread water and swim a short distance
• Complete a medical questionnaire; some conditions need a doctor's sign-off

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & confined water

   Complete the first knowledge sections and three confined-water sessions to master core skills.
2. Day2
   Open-water dives

   Make two open-water training dives to a maximum of 12 metres on sheltered sites such as the Lusong Gunboat, then certify.
