The PADI Rescue Diver pathway

PADI Rescue Diver requires a current Emergency First Response (or equivalent) first-aid and CPR rating and is a direct prerequisite for the Divemaster course. The certification emphasises judgement and emergency management over depth.

Where you'll dive in Port Blair

Rescue skills and scenarios are practised in the sheltered, shallow reefs around Chidiyatapu and Port Blair, where calm seas, warm 27-29C water and good visibility in the December-to-April season give the controlled setting these demanding exercises require.
