The PADI Rescue Diver pathway

PADI Rescue Diver is widely regarded as the most rewarding recreational course. It is a prerequisite for the Divemaster rating and requires current CPR and first-aid training (Emergency First Response), which can be completed alongside.

Where you'll dive in Galapagos

Rescue training is based at Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz, using sheltered sites such as North Seymour, Mosquera and Santa Fe where drift and moderate current make the scenarios realistic without being overwhelming. The cool water (16-26C) underlines why solid rescue skills matter in the Galapagos.
