The PADI Open Water Diver pathway

PADI Open Water Diver certifies you to dive to 18 metres with a buddy and is the foundation rating recognised worldwide. It comprises five knowledge sections, five confined-water dives and four open-water dives, with a final exam.

Where you'll dive in Seychelles

Confined-water training uses the calm shallows near Beau Vallon, with open-water dives on Mahe's coral gardens and granite-boulder reefs in warm 26-30C water and calm-to-moderate conditions. The course runs year-round, with the clearest visibility and the best marine-life encounters around April-May and September-November.
