Course overview

Become a certified diver with the PADI Open Water Diver course in Muscat, the world's most recognised entry-level certification, earned in Oman's warm and welcoming coastal water. You complete knowledge development, confined-water sessions and four open-water dives at sheltered reefs around Bandar Khayran and the Daymaniyat Islands, qualifying you to dive independently with a buddy to 18 metres anywhere in the world. It is the gateway to Oman's whale sharks, turtles and coral reefs.

The PADI Open Water Diver pathway

The PADI Open Water Diver certification is recognised worldwide and qualifies you to dive independently with a buddy to 18 metres. It is the prerequisite for the Advanced Open Water course and all specialties.

Where you'll dive in Muscat

Open Water dives use the sheltered reefs of Bandar Khayran and, conditions allowing, the Daymaniyat Islands, where calm seas, warm 24-30C water and turtles and reef fish make an ideal first certification environment, best September to April.
