The PADI Open Water Diver pathway

The PADI Open Water Diver is the world's most recognised entry-level scuba certification, with no expiry. It qualifies you to dive to 18 metres with a buddy and is the prerequisite for the Advanced Open Water course.

Where you'll dive in Cairns

Open Water training combines heated Cairns pools with four ocean dives on a liveaboard or day trip to outer Great Barrier Reef sites such as Flynn, Milln and Thetford Reefs, where calm-to-moderate conditions and warm water in the June-to-November high season make ideal learning ground.
