Course overview

Experience Mahe's reefs after dark with the PADI Night Diver specialty in the Seychelles, where nocturnal life takes over the granite boulders and coral gardens. Over three night dives on sheltered sites near Beau Vallon you watch octopus, lobster, moray eels and hunting reef fish come out under torchlight. You finish certified to plan and enjoy night dives with confidence.

What you’ll learn

• Plan, organise and conduct safe night dives
• Use a primary and backup dive light effectively
• Communicate with light signals after dark
• Navigate and maintain buddy contact at night
• Enter, exit and control buoyancy in low light
• Identify nocturnal marine life and behaviour

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• Comfortable buoyancy control
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician
