Course overview

See Phuket's reefs transform after dark with the PADI Night Diver specialty. Over three night dives on sheltered sites you learn to dive safely with a torch, communicate with light signals and observe the nocturnal marine life, such as hunting octopus, that emerges once the sun sets. It is one of the most memorable specialties you can add in the Andaman Sea.

What you’ll learn

• Use a primary and backup dive light effectively

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Comfortable with basic buoyancy and navigation
• Diver medical clearance where required

1. Day1
   Night diving

   Briefing and theory at dusk, then three night dives over the session practising light use, signalling and nocturnal marine-life observation, leading to certification.
