Course overview

The PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty teaches you to find your way around a dive site using natural references and a compass, an essential skill on Koh Lanta's larger sites. At Koh Haa, where the lagoon, caverns and surrounding reef can disorient newcomers, precise navigation lets you explore confidently and return reliably to your exit point. You finish able to estimate distances, run patterns and lead your buddy team underwater.

Where you'll dive in Koh Lanta

Koh Haa, with its lagoon, twin caverns and surrounding reef, is a favourite for navigation training because its varied topography rewards accurate compass and natural-reference work. The November-to-April season offers warm 27-30°C water and good visibility for spotting references.
