Cross over from leading dives to teaching them with the PADI Instructor Development Course around Thailand's Phi Phi Islands, finishing ready to sit the PADI Instructor Examination and certify your own divers. The sheltered, warm-water bays inside the Phi Phi marine park, with limestone walls and reefs dropping to around 30 metres, give candidates calm, varied conditions to rehearse confined- and open-water teaching presentations. You emerge as a teaching member of the world's largest dive organisation.
The PADI IDC trains and assesses you against PADI standards, then prepares you for the Instructor Examination, which is run independently by a PADI Examiner. On passing the IE you become a renewable teaching member of PADI with access to professional insurance and the worldwide PADI jobs network.
Teaching workshops run in the sheltered bays and reef walls of the Phi Phi marine park, where warm 27-30°C water and calm-to-moderate conditions during the November-to-April high season make a forgiving environment to rehearse teaching before you certify real students. The independent Instructor Examination is conducted separately by a PADI Examiner.
