The PADI Fun Dives pathway

Fun dives carry no certification but require proof of an existing rating. PADI divers should bring their certification card and logbook; deeper Sipadan-wall dives are best suited to Advanced Open Water divers or those with the Deep specialty.

Where you'll dive in Sipadan

Fun dives range from the deep walls and drop-offs of Sipadan Island, famous for barracuda tornadoes and turtle highways, to the shallow muck reefs of Mabul and Kapalai; Sipadan access depends on the daily permit system, and the April-to-October season offers the best conditions.
