Course overview

The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver specialty on Tioman lets you extend your no-decompression limits and enjoy longer, more relaxed dives across the island's many sites. This mostly dry course teaches you to analyse and dive with enriched air safely, ideal when you want to fit more bottom time into a busy day of diving Tioman's reefs and wrecks.

What you’ll learn

• Understand the benefits and risks of diving enriched air
• Analyse a cylinder's oxygen content with an analyser
• Set your dive computer for enriched-air mixes
• Calculate maximum operating depth and oxygen exposure
• Manage oxygen-exposure limits across repetitive dives
• Handle and label enriched-air cylinders correctly

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
• No dives strictly required (course can be completed dry)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

1. Day1
   Nitrox theory and analysis

   Complete the knowledge development, practise analysing cylinders and setting computers, and optionally apply the skills on enriched-air dives around Tioman's reefs.
