Course overview

Get more bottom time on Moalboal's reefs with the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver specialty in Cebu. Diving enriched air on the Panagsama wall and around Pescador Island lets you extend your no-decompression limits on repetitive dives – valuable when you want to maximise time among the sardine school and turtles. This is largely a knowledge-based course, with one optional supervised dive, and you finish certified to dive with enriched air up to 40 percent oxygen.

• Analyse a cylinder's oxygen content and set your computer
• Determine and manage your maximum operating depth
• Calculate extended no-decompression limits with nitrox
• Avoid oxygen-exposure limits and manage partial pressures

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) / 15
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Nitrox theory & analysis

   Complete the knowledge development and exam, practise cylinder analysis and computer set-up, and optionally make a supervised enriched-air dive on the house reef.
