Course overview

Extend your no-decompression time with the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialty on Koh Tao - the most popular specialty on the island, since longer bottom times pair perfectly with deeper pinnacle sites like Chumphon Pinnacle. You learn to analyse enriched-air cylinders and plan nitrox dives, mostly through theory with no minimum number of dives required.

What you’ll learn

• Understand the benefits and limits of enriched air nitrox
• Analyse a cylinder's oxygen content and label it correctly
• Set oxygen-exposure and maximum-depth limits
• Plan nitrox dives using tables or a nitrox computer
• Manage oxygen exposure across repetitive dives
• Configure a dive computer for enriched air

• Minimum age 12
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & exam

   Learn enriched-air principles, oxygen-exposure limits and dive planning, then sit the exam.
2. Day1
   Cylinder analysis

   Practise analysing and labelling enriched-air cylinders and setting maximum operating depth.
3. Day1
   Optional nitrox dives

   Add optional enriched-air dives at deeper sites such as Chumphon Pinnacle to apply the planning.
