Course overview

Get more no-decompression time on Fiji's reefs with the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialty, ideal for the repetitive multi-dive days around Beqa Lagoon and Pacific Harbour. You learn to analyse enriched-air cylinders, set your computer and plan longer, safer bottom times on soft-coral sites such as The Bistro and Seven Sisters. The course can be completed without any open-water training dives.

What you’ll learn

• Understand the benefits and risks of diving enriched air
• Analyse oxygen content and label a nitrox cylinder
• Set maximum operating depth and oxygen-exposure limits
• Configure a dive computer for enriched-air mixes
• Plan extended no-decompression limits across repetitive dives
• Avoid oxygen toxicity through correct depth management

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) or 15
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or qualifying certification
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician where required

   Theory, analysis & application

   Complete the enriched-air knowledge review, practise analysing and labelling cylinders, set your computer and optionally apply it on a Beqa reef dive.
