Course overview

The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver course is a Bali favourite because longer no-stop times let you linger over the USAT Liberty's coral-encrusted hull and Tulamben's reef shelves. Taught largely as a dry classroom session, it gets you analysing tanks and setting your computer for enriched air the same day. Extra bottom time pays off on the macro-rich slopes of Seraya, where every minute counts.

PADI Enriched Air uses eLearning and can be completed as a knowledge-only course or with dives; the certification lets you dive nitrox up to 40 percent worldwide and earns the PADI Enriched Air Diver card.

Where you'll dive in Bali

Nitrox theory is taught dry at the Tulamben base, with optional enriched-air dives on the USAT Liberty and the reef at Coral Garden, where the extended bottom time helps you photograph turtles, schooling jackfish and the wreck's resident fish life.
