Course overview

Build the life-saving foundation every leadership diver needs with the PADI Emergency First Response course in the Seychelles. This non-diving CPR and first-aid programme can be completed in a day at the dive centre near Beau Vallon and is the required first-aid prerequisite for the Rescue Diver and Divemaster ratings. You leave confident to manage breathing, circulation and injury emergencies on land or at the dive site.

What you’ll learn

• Perform primary care (CPR) for a non-breathing patient
• Deliver secondary care (first aid) for injuries and illness
• Manage a scene safely and reduce the risk of cross-contamination
• Use barriers and, where available, an AED and emergency oxygen
• Conduct patient assessment and ongoing monitoring
• Build the confidence to act decisively in a real emergency

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Open to non-divers and divers alike
• No minimum age for participation (certification follows standards)
• No swimming or medical clearance required for this classroom course
