Course overview

Emergency First Response (EFR) teaches the CPR and first-aid skills every diver and non-diver should have, and it pairs naturally with dive training in Fujairah. This classroom-based course covers primary and secondary care so you can confidently respond to medical emergencies on land or at a dive site, and it satisfies the first-aid prerequisite for Rescue Diver and Divemaster.

What you’ll learn

• Assess an emergency scene and ensure safety
• Perform CPR and rescue breathing on an adult
• Manage choking, serious bleeding and shock
• Provide secondary care and first aid for illness and injury
• Use barriers and, where available, an AED

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Open to divers and non-divers of all levels
• No minimum age for participation (course content suits teens and adults)
