Become a PADI Divemaster in the Andamans, the region whose top sites at Havelock and neighbouring Neil were largely mapped by the area's pioneering dive community. Over several weeks you'll guide certified divers across reefs like Johnny's Gorge and The Wall while learning how a busy island dive centre actually runs. It's an immersive apprenticeship in 28°C water teeming with barracuda schools, reef sharks and turtles.
PADI's Divemaster program uses eLearning and the PADI Touch system and issues a PADI digital pro card; divemasters can later progress to the IDC.
Divemaster trainees guide and assist across Havelock's signature sites, from the boulder-strewn Johnny's Gorge to the vertical coral of The Wall, where depths reach 18-30 metres. The Andaman Sea's high biodiversity means barracuda walls, fusilier shoals, reef sharks and turtles are regular sightings. Training spans both calm in-season conditions and the quieter, fish-rich monsoon months.
