Course overview

Try scuba for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Tarkarli-Malvan. After a short briefing and shallow-water practice you make a guided dive to around 12 metres in the calm, sheltered bay beside Sindhudurg Fort - one of India's most beginner-friendly places to breathe underwater.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe underwater comfortably on scuba
• Use the mask, fins, regulator and BCD
• Clear the mask and recover the regulator
• Equalise and manage basic buoyancy
• Use simple underwater hand signals
• Relax and enjoy a guided reef dive

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Reasonable comfort in water
• Basic medical questionnaire / fitness to dive
