Course overview

Try scuba for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in the Seychelles, breathing underwater in the warm, clear waters off Mahe. After a short briefing in the calm, sheltered shallows near Beau Vallon, an instructor guides you on a real reef dive among colourful corals, turtles and tropical fish. No certification or experience is needed, just a sense of adventure.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater using scuba equipment
• Understand basic scuba gear and how it works
• Equalise and descend safely with an instructor
• Clear water from your mask and recover a regulator
• Move and maintain buoyancy under close supervision
• Spot common reef life on a guided dive

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Able to complete a brief medical questionnaire
• Reasonable comfort in water

1. Day1
   Discover scuba

   Short briefing and skill practice in the calm shallows near Beau Vallon, followed by a guided reef dive to a maximum of 12 metres.
