Course overview

Try breathing underwater for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience on Thailand's Phi Phi Islands, no certification or experience needed. After a short briefing you learn a few basic skills in shallow, sheltered water, then make a guided dive over Phi Phi's coral gardens with an instructor by your side. It is the easiest, safest way to find out if scuba is for you.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater using scuba equipment
• Equalise your ears and clear water from your mask
• Recover and clear a regulator underwater
• Move and stay balanced using simple buoyancy control
• Communicate with basic underwater hand signals

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health and comfort in water (simple medical questionnaire)
• Able to follow basic instructions in the water
