Course overview

Try breathing underwater for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience at Netrani Island on Karnataka's Murdeshwar coast. After a short briefing and confined-water practice, an instructor guides you on a shallow dive over the reef, where you can spot reef fish and colourful coral in clear, warm water. It is the easiest, no-commitment way to find out whether scuba diving is for you.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater using scuba equipment
• Equalise your ears and clear water from your mask
• Move and stay neutral with basic fin control
• Recognise simple hand signals and safety procedures
• Enjoy your first guided dive over Netrani's reef

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Reasonable physical health and able to complete a brief medical questionnaire
• Not currently affected by heart, lung or asthma conditions without medical clearance
