Course overview

Try scuba for the very first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Key Largo, the perfect introduction in some of the calmest, clearest water in the United States. After a short briefing and confined-water practice, an instructor guides you on a real dive over the shallow coral reefs of John Pennekamp, where colourful fish and warm water make a memorable first breath underwater. No certification or experience is needed.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater on scuba
• Use a mask, fins, regulator and BCD
• Equalise and clear water from your mask
• Recover a regulator and manage basic skills
• Move and stay neutral over a reef
• Follow your instructor safely on a guided dive

Prerequisites

• No experience or certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Able to be comfortable in water
• Complete a brief medical questionnaire
