Course overview

Try breathing underwater for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience on Grand Cayman, an ideal place to start thanks to its calm, clear and warm Caribbean water. Under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor, you learn a few basic skills in shallow water and then explore a gentle reef teeming with colourful fish. It is not a certification, but it is the perfect taste of diving in one of the world's clearest seas.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater on scuba
• Use the mask, fins and regulator
• Clear water from your mask and recover the regulator
• Equalise and manage simple buoyancy
• Communicate with basic hand signals
• Explore a shallow reef with your instructor

Prerequisites

• No experience or scuba certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Able to be comfortable in the water
• Complete a brief medical questionnaire
