Course overview

Extend your limits with the PADI Deep Diver specialty in Tarkarli-Malvan, qualifying you to dive to 40 metres. Over four dives you learn deep-dive planning, gas management and how to manage narcosis and ascents, using the boat-accessed deeper waters off Malvan where conditions in the dry season stay calm.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute dives to a maximum of 40 metres
• Manage gas supply and turn-around pressures
• Recognise and respond to nitrogen narcosis
• Run safety stops and controlled ascents
• Monitor no-decompression limits at depth
• Handle colour loss and reduced light at depth

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water (or equivalent)
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & dives 1-2

   Cover deep-diving theory and complete the first two progressively deeper dives from the boat off Malvan.
2. Day2
   Dives 3-4

   Build to the 40-metre maximum with gas-management and narcosis-awareness drills on the deeper offshore sites.
